Calling all local artists! The Town of Occoquan is holding its first mural contest. The awarded artist will get to install their work on the retaining wall at the intersection of Route 123 and Commerce Street. Every day thousands will enjoy a beautiful work of art that welcomes visitors and residents alike to the Town of Occoquan.

This contest was put together to provide a space for local artists to share their talents and use them to beautify the main entryway into the Town of Occoquan. The goal is to bring more visitors into the area and create a town entrance that reflects the history and natural beauty of Occoquan. One finalist will be selected from the submissions received and awarded $5,000 by the Town to create their proposed design.

Interested artists should read the Contest Overview and Guidelines before applying. Incomplete or late applications or applications that do not follow the instructions and guidelines will be automatically deemed ineligible for review and award.
