The Town’s road system is owned and managed by several entities including the Town, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and private HOAs. As a result, maintenance, snow removal, and other issues are the responsibility of the owner.

Brick sidewalks located within the Town’s historic district are the responsibility of the town. Sidewalks located outside of the downtown historic district are the responsibility of individual private HOAs or VDOT.
