Annual Tree Lighting & Shop Late
November 18, 2023, 6PM
Our annual tree lighting event kicks off HolidayFest and many shops will be open late! Head to Town Hall at 314 Mill Street for our ceremony at 6 pm. Visitors are invited to roast marshmallows for s’mores at the entrance to River Mill Park!

River Mill Park becomes magical for this special holiday shopping event! Join us in the park for nearly 50 artisan booths, hot cocoa, caroling, and a visit from Santa! Vendors Only
Visit with Santa
December 2-3, 2023
Santa will arrive by boat at the town dock at Mamie Davis Park December 2 at 10:30am. Kids of all ages are then invited to escort Santa to River Mill Park! The big guy will be ready for a singalong and a visit with families at the top of the hour from 11am to 1:00pm both market days.
Concerts in the Park
December 2-3, 2023
As a special extra, concerts are scheduled both days at the market. Both concerts are at 3pm.
Gingerbread House Contest
December 2-3, 2023
Use your imagination and gingerbread to build anything from a simple cottage to an elaborate historic reproduction and enter to win! Vote on your favorites during the Artisan Market. Enter by 11am on December 2.

The Occoquan Express
Don’t worry about parking. Jump the FREE shuttle bus service into town all season! It’s our way to make your holiday shopping just a little bit easier this year. Strollers and service animals are welcome on the shuttle.

Where to Park
Head to the VDOT Commuter Lot at the corner of Rt. 123 and Old Bridge Road. The shuttle will run approximately every 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
