The Occoquan Police Department is seeking applicants for a full-time position as a certified Police Officer. Community oriented officers are a must.  Candidates must be current Virginia DCJS certified law enforcement officers. Non-certified applicants will not be considered.  Starting salary is between $48,000 to $52,000 annually based on experience and qualifications. Salary: This is an uncompensated volunteer position.

Hours: At least four events per year.

Current DCJS certification as a Law Enforcement Officer Required.

The Auxiliary Police Officer performs general police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Work in this position may consist of routine patrol, traffic control duties, and/or special event details. The Auxiliary Police Officer reports directly to the Chief of Police or other supervisory officer as may be designated.
