Applying to Serve on a Board or Commission

Membership on Occoquan’s boards and commissions provides citizens the opportunity to become actively involved in town affairs.  If you are interested in serving, please submit a completed Application for Appointment.

Applicant Review Process

When a vacancy exists, the Town Council will review each applicant and evaluates his or her interests, education, philosophy and work experience according to the functions of the board or commission.  When a vacancy does not exist, applications will be kept on file in a candidate pool to be accessed when a vacancy on a board or commission becomes available.
