AUGUST 13-21, 2022

Celebrate our town businesses with a week of activities including interactive classes and free demonstrations hosted by town merchants, plus a Scavenger Hunt, Taste of Occoquan, and Sip & Shop event, Trivia Night, our famous Duck Splash, a corn hole tournament, a concert, and more! Visitors are invited to browse the town’s unique shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and cafes to experience all that Occoquan has to offer.

Check with individual businesses for possible event supplies or fees.  Free on-street and public lot parking is available in town.

Scavenger Hunt

August 13-21

Visit businesses throughout Occoquan and answer questions about town history on your scavenger hunt passport form (available at all participating businesses).

Taste of Occoquan

August 18-21

Treat your tastebuds with flights of food as you experience international dishes from award winning restaurants in Occoquan.  

Sip & Stroll

August 20, 4:00pm-8:00pm

One-day only from 4:00-8:00pm: order adult beverages at participating restaurants and walk through the historic district of Occoquan while browsing the shops and galleries or attending the free concert in River Mill Park!

Town Hall Rededication

August 13, 3:00pm

Join the Mayor as he rededicates Town Hall in a ceremony that recognizes Mamie Davis and June Randolph for their devotion and contributions to the Town of Occoquan.

Duck Splash

August 14, at 12:00pm 

Adopt a numbered rubber duck from Patriot Scuba, then join us Sunday, August 14 to watch it race along the Occoquan River with hundreds of other ducks! $5 to adopt your duck. Winners receive $20-500 depending on their place in the race. All proceeds benefit Patriots for Disabled Divers. Get your tickets HERE.

Trivia Night 

August 19, 6:30pm-8:30pm 

Test your knowledge and play six rounds of brain busters for your chance to win a $100 gift card Grand Prize! Bring your up to 8-person team, camp chairs or blankets, and a packed picnic for your party. Order at the event and have it delivered right to your circle. More info: occoquanva.gov/trivia

Corn Hole Tournament

August 20, 1:00pm-4:00pm

Join us in River Mill Park for the first ever Occoquan Cup Cornhole Tournament! This is a double-elimination tournament for 2-person teams of all levels. See occoquantourism.com/cornhole for tickets and more details. Cost: $30 (or $25 if you bring your own boards). Pick up a beverage and snacks before you play. 

Concert in the Park

August 20, 7:00pm-9:00pm

Join us in River Mill Park for another FREE concert, featuring local band Collective! Voted one of the best bands of Arlington, we’re pleased to bring them to back to OCQ.

Agnes Artwork Unveiling

August 20, 11:00am

This ceremony in River Mill Park includes the unveiling of an original piece of artwork commemorating the 50th anniversary of Hurricane Agnes’ effects on the Town of Occoquan and the surrounding area.

Shop Late in Occoquan

August 20, until 8:00pm

Enjoy a summer evening out, as many shops and businesses stay open late in Occoquan! Plus, Sip & Stroll your way around town: patrons can purchase adult beverages and browse the historic district with drinks in hand from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
