RiverFest Whatever Floats Your Boat Parade
June 4, 2023
Help support our river’s ecology, water quality, and help keep our local wildlife healthy! Design and decorate a river vessel that expresses your team’s creativity– be it raft, canoe, inflatable, dinghy, kayak, rowboat or other non-motorized craft and join us for the first ever RiverFest Whatever Floats Your Boat Parade on June 4, 2023! The greater portion of your registration fees goes toward Occoquan’s Million Mighty Mussel Project in partnership with Potomac RiverKeeper Network.
The morning of June 4th, you’ll put your craft (or flotilla!) in the river and ride, paddle, or row the 1/2 mile along the coastline of town to arrive at the Occoquan footbridge between 10:30 and 11am. Visitors can watch the parade from there, at Conservation Alley, or at the Town Dock. Judging takes place at the footbridge at 11am and the award ceremony is at 2pm in River Mill Park.
