Parking and Traffic Study
Town of Occoquan, Virginia
Welcome to the Official Site for the Town of Occoquan, VA
The Town of Occoquan is working with Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) to conduct a parking and traffic study within the Town of Occoquan. The main area of focus is parking within the historic district, as well as cut-through traffic. View the project's scope.
In August 2017, data was collected to inventory the number of available parking spaces within the historic district. After the inventory data was collected, data was collected to identify parking occupancy (how often parking spaces are occupied) and parking turn-over (how often do vehicles stay in those parking spaces). In addition, data is being collected regarding cut-through traffic to identify the number of vehicles that cut-through town.
